COMMUNITY GATHERING (VIRTUAL)

Hosted by Dr. Prema Kurien and Dr. Nazli Kibria. An informal gathering to provide community members with the the opportunity to discuss the challenges faced while navigating academia as a South Asian sociologist.

There will be no formal panel presentations. Participants will be assigned to small breakout groups for 30 minutes. Each breakout group will be led by a senior scholar and all members are invited to bring up issues for discussion. All participants will then return to the larger group at the end of the 30 minutes to share with everyone their insights from the discussions in the breakout groups.
